Welding & Fabrication
Relay Engineering have modern well equipped workshops for fabrication and welding of structures and parts in steel, aluminium or stainless steel.
Our Profile Cutting capabilities allow us to cut highly intricate parts to be produced using the latest technology including: water jet cutting and high definition plasma CNC controlled machines. With cutting thicknesses up to 150mm we can produce one offs or multiple component parts as required.
In our fabrication shops we also have bending machines, allowing sheets to be formed or bent with 100 Tonne capacity to achieve the correct part first time.
Relay Engineering have the skills, knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of welding processes and equipment with all welding tasks following an approved welding procedures.
Coded Welding:
Our weld procedures and our workers qualifications are certified by Lloyds, and our modern plant allows us access to all areas for welding. Our welders can carry out welding processes with Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel structures and pipework systems using MMA, CMA Mig or TIG welding processes.
Profile Cutting:
We operate a 260 amp high definition plasma profiler and a water jet profiling machine. We can cut almost any material to very high tolerances with guaranteed precision.
Water Jet has multiple benefits including:
- No heat affected zones
- No mechanical stress
- Superior cut quality
- No edge finishing
- Ability to cut any material
Bending and Folding:
Our 100 tonne bending CNC machines are used for precision bending of components.
Non Destructive Testing:
We provide Non Destructive Testing (NDT) services which are carried out on all certified welding contracts. NDT methods include: Visual, X Ray and Die Pen.
